Atelier is French for ‘workshop’. I created Atelier-Mosaic in my twenties as a workshop for experiments in ‘social architecture’; a term that is rooted in the belief that an architect’s responsibility is to design buildings and environments which empower and sustain a high quality of living and encourage communities to become healthier and happier.

The projects-portfolio serves as the main focus of the website, and their ‘mosaic’-like appearance on the main page refers to the interdisciplinary character of the design profession that, when applied and arranged together in a thoughtful way, represents a beautiful image or pattern that makes sense, just like a mosaic fresco.
